Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Wanting to do more

I've got a 98 12 valve and i wanna turn up my pump/advance my timing and i wanna do this myself i am just curious if anyone can give me some pointers and i also wanna get a fuel plate for my truck i'd like to know if anyone has any ideas where to get one what i should get anything... . i'd like some advice for this project thanks alot tdr members

I just did my timing last night for the first time and it was fairly straight forward except for the timing pin to find top dead center. Heres a link to a recent post I just typed.
