Check out the latest issue of Four Wheeler (NOV), for a great article on the Warn HD winch bumper they mounted to one of their project vehicles, a 2500 '03 CTD.

Yes there are many places to get a HD winch bumper non days, Buckstop, Ranch hand are only a few that come to mind. But Warn is a very large company with retail outlets all across the United States, and this means anyone can get access to one anywhere. Check it out.

i think all of those bumpers still take a backseat to the road armor bumpers. they just look badassed on whatever they are on. they are big $$$ but all of those others aren't that far behind.

I saw these bumpers at SEMA last year in Las Vegas, but the Warn guys were very tight lipped on whether it would see production or not. Obviously it did, and if it's the same one, looks better in person than in pictures. They also had a killer rear bumper as well. Crossing my fingers that it makes production.

The only thing I see missing is a front receiver hitch, but that probably wouldn't be too hard to add.

You guy's don't get it..... Warn made this bumper to be an alternative to the stock bumper for people that wanted to run a winch up front. Their HD front bumper is made to compliment the front end and enable guys to mount the winch they feel they did. Warn, as a winch manufacturer recognized the need for a easy way to mount their famous winches on today modern trucks. This fulfills two needs, an instant mounting platform, with a functional front bumper capable of offering additional front protection and style.

Other bumpers like the Road armor,Rachhand and Buckstop are are capable bumpers as well, but this bumper will be available nationwide at any parts store that sells Warn products. That is a far cry from the specialty market the other bumper represent.

uh..... if you just want to be albe to mount a winch why not just get the same front bumper setup as the new power wagons? they come stock with a warn 12k lb winch so im sure you can get that setup and run it on any 3rd generation 2500/3500

Do you see them available anywhere??? I didn't think so. Plus I don't think Dodge will make them at a very competitive price, do you?

Last time I checked, and believe me, I have nothing to do but check... The Dodge Power Wagon was only available in the V-8 Hemi form. As you may or may not know, out trucks have a little thing up front call an Inter cooler, this tends to take up alot of room, so there is a very good chance the front bumper assembly and winch will not fit the Cummins Turbo Diesel models.

The Warn winch looks good, but their website literature leaves some questions:

1. How thick is the steel used in the subframe and the facia?

2. What's MSRP?

If I were to buy this bumper, I'd want it at least as strong as a Buckstop. I suspect it will be priced in the same range as the Road Armor. This kind of thing is really good, though, because it makes more competition and that makes prices drop.

First, no this bumper is not out there to compete with the Backstops or Road Armor bumpers. It is there to offer a competent replacement of the factory bumper and to allow and facilitate the mounting of their winches. This bumper will be much cheaper then the two fore mentioned, most likely will be in the 750-800 dollar range.

It's new and Warn doest have a very good record of keeping their web site up, so most will have to be patient. They do not list the material thickness, but it is rated to be used with their 16,500lb winch, so it is plenty strong. It does have two recess areas where lights can be mounted, like the Buckstop, and also a tubular grill guard much like theres also. From what I see, they do not use the large mounting gussets like the Buckstop bumper has, theirs is more compact.

Big advantage to the Warn bumper is it's availability nation wide Thur Off Road distributers and on line dealers. That means you will be able to pick one up locally, and shop around for the best price from places like 4 Wheel parts. They always run sales and several times a year have free freight deals which will save several hundred dollars. Like I said earlier, this is not competition for the Road Armor type bumpers, those are high end pieces that appeal to a different market type. These Warn bumpers are more of a practical type bumper, that allows guy's that could not afford huge bumpers before, to now get the front end protection with out the higher cost.

I was at a hunting show here in Dallas a year ago. At the show was an offroad shop that had one of the warn bumpers that ya'll are talking about that was built for the ford super duty. It was a nice looking bumper. I asked them if they made them for the dodges and at that time he said they were not made yet but that warn was planning on it (looks like he was being truthful with me). I also asked him what the cost was of the one he had there. His shopped priced it out at almost $2000. The price including the installation, two warn driving lights in the recessed holes of the bumpers, four lights that mounted across the the bumper in the brush guard (center of grille), and the installation of a winch into the bumper (but not the price of the winch). Price seemed to be what I would expect for a full repalcement bumper.

Another thing to think about with this Warn bumper is that warn does very exstensive tests to be sure that all their products do exactly, if not more than what they claim. I have no personal expereince with buckstop or roadarmour or many others so I am not able to judge them.

they may not be avalible just yet but im sure it won't be long. also there were talks of the cummins coming in the power wagons as a late addition so im sure they will figure out how to make it all fit.

Warn bumpers suck, I have demolished 2 of them,, nothing, I mean NOTHING compares to the Buckstop bumper. I am glad I spent the extra dollars for it too. I just demolished a BMW M3 yuppy mobile, and drove a way with 3 scratches to the powdercoating. When upgrading a bumper, one should think about am I just going to drive around town and show this thing? or do I want a bumper that is going to take a beating??
