Warn Winch Hardware

I picked up a new (used) Warn 12,000 lb winch today:-laf . It came without any mounting hardware, so I need to know the size (thread, diameter and length) so that I can get it mounted on my Road Armor bumper.

You can go to the warn website : www.warn.com and find your winch. It should have a parts list that will tell you what size the mounting bolts are. I did this just last week with my ATV Winch. They had a exploded view of the winch with all the bolt sizes. I hope this helps. -Jason

EDIT: Wrong bolts, they are not in the schematic. I am off to a hardware store n Monday AM to get them to measure and fit new bolts.

Something else you could do is take the winch into the hardware store and start checking the size you need. I know that might be hard if it is a HUGE one. I did it when I took my new air filter into Home Depot to find a pipe that would fit it. -Jason

I just looked on the warn winch site: the two different bolt sizes I saw are 3/8-16X1 1/4 and 7/16-14X1 1/2. I looked at several different winches on that site and those are to sizes that I saw on all of them. I hope that helps. -Jason

You're still the "man"!
You have to look at the on line "owner's manual" to see the bolt size. It's there, not the parts list. It's a bit kludgy too cuz they give Metric length.

According to the owners manual they are 7/16 x 14 x 38. 1 MM (1. 5") GRADE 5 (torqued to 59. 74-64. 91 Ft Lbs, 81- 88 Nm)
