Warning chimes through radio or not?

A local stereo shop says you have install a Canbus adapter to allow safety warnings to be heard if you replace the factory radio in a 2006 Dodge Ram. Crutchfield tech service says that you do not lose the audible signals if you replace the factory radio.



What is the real answer to those who have replaced their factory head units?
