Warning! DPFTunes

Just a heads up that may save someone else a headache. Back in May I ordered a 60 gallon replacement fuel tank for my '18 dually from DPFTunes.com. They had it in stock (or so it said on their website). My card was charged, an order shown. I was to get an email when the product shipped. Several days went by and I emailed to see what the status was. "Sorry, it'll be going out soon". A few days later, same thing. This went on for a while until I finally cancelled the order and requested a refund. By now it was late June. Never got the refund and can't contact them. Radio silence both email and phone. I've filed a dispute with my card company so hopefully I'll see my $$$ back. Stay away from DPFTunes!

With that company name - probably shutdown by the EPA.


Sorry for your troubles, I know that well.
It's always hard ordering something from a company the first time, not knowing if it will work out or not.

Yeah nothing good on BBB. Which can be pay to play sometimes. But does not look legit.

Unfortunately I didn't see the BBB until too late. I did contact the business license folks in the town where this business supposedly is and let them know. They were going to check to see if the business is where they say they are.

Business license people probably just want their business license revenue. BBB is also poorly run. We had $10,000 stolen by a company and yet BBB still showed them as B rated. When I called them they changed it to reflect the reality and then a couple weeks later I looked again and they were back to a good rating. I called them to complain and they told me the lawyer for the company had called them and threatened to sue! Who cares? Long, long story involving AG state of Washington etc. We never did get all of our money back. Company finally forced out of business by AG, but no criminal case. Why? Pierce County Prosecutor told me they only prosecuted "white collar crime" over $1 million. Anyway, I wouldn't hold your breath on getting any $ back. Smartest thing you did was use your CC. In our case we had written a check, so no recourse. I did turn them in to the IRS as I knew they never paid taxes on that money.

If they don't respond to the CC folks it come back quick, if they do respond to the CC folks with some BS it could take longer.

Typically the CC folks know already when they see the complaint and will take care of you. Because these kind of folks won't ever stop scamming.

My bet only, I would think you get your money back rather quickly. You have good paper trail and they are non responsive pretty easy case.
