WARNING, WARNING

I have been ripped off by an Internet fraud. I sent money to Hwy 41 Scrap metal in Selma Alabama for a Transmission that they advertised.

After they received payment. It was to be shipped next Friday than next Friday than next Friday.

Will know they do not answer the phone and the E-mail will not be received.

I just thought all of you should know.

If you live in Selma Al. you might want to check them out.

If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.

I would call the District Attorney of Selma and speak to someone about this place. Ask if they have had any complaints about them. Ask if you can file a complaint--this may not work since you live out of state. Ask if they will investigate this as a crime.

I would also go back to the site where I found these guys and complain. The squeaky wheel does get grease sometimes!

Dude, sorry to hear about your luck. I would get ahold of the DA and take some action. Secondly, did you give them check or CC? If you gave them CC you may have even more of a plan of action. I know how frustrating that can be. I went thru a similar case from a business in AL myself. Lots of lip service but no product

If you sent money by the U. S. Postal service then you need to file a complaint with them. Here is the page.

Here is another good place to complain to. It will take time threw this one. But they do work. I used them on a online trade with a troll. It took a year for anything to happen. But when the troll started getting letters from the Indiana Attorney Generals office and the Michagin Attorney Generals office. He decided that it was time to refund my money. :)

If this was a registered business in Al then the above address will jump all over them most likely.

with as many members as we have somebody on here, somebody has to live within a couple miles of that place. I wish i did, reddge. People like that make it hard on anybody else who is trying to sell parts. Where were they advertising at?

I did a "whois" look-up for the domain name hwy41scrapmetal.com. That should give you an address and a name of somebody you can go after, or at least point authorities in the right direction...

Thanks for all your help and information.

I am filing my complaint to all the agencies.

I well let you now if anything happens.

If you paid by credit card (which I hope you did). You have 90 days to dispute any charges on the card. I would call up customer service with your card company and review your options with them. You could also try a stop payment on a check if that was your payment. Good Luck
