Alright, I don't post much - but he we go . . .

I'm having a wierd problem with my brakes, it started about 6 months ago - about the same time I put in a 2 inch leveling kit. I can't say for sure that this problem started immediatley after the lift was installed, heck, it may have even started before - I just can't remember.

My problem is this - I get the sensation of warped rotors when I apply the brakes. However, I don't necessarily feel it in the pedal, which to me wouldn't indicated warped rotors. But the movement of the truck- kinda like a grabbing, slipping, grabbing, slipping feeling is definately rotor warpage but without the pedal acting up too! Much more noticable as slow speeds.

I took my truck into the dealer, they took a look and told me my rotors were warped. I don't know if that's what they told me because that's what I told them or if they really checked out the rotors and they were indeed warped.

So, I took the truck to the my brake guy and he says that he doesn't feel anything in the pedal. I told him to drive the truck faster, he says he feels it and goes ahead and turns the rotors.

I still have the same problem, but not as bad. Anybody have this problem or am I alone on this one?

Still sounds warped to me.

I'll bet when they had the wheels off they tourqued down the lugs with an air wrench at full 250 lb/ft? I'll bet they warped the rotor/hub instead of hand tightening to 135-150 ft/lbs.

I've had this problem with our Ford F150's.

Did all 4 rotors get turned? If just the fronts were turned, you may have glazed spots on the rears which would cause the sensation you feel of grabbing and slipping more noticeably at slower speeds.
