I am the second owner of my truck, It has 72k. Is it still under warranty?? Book says 36k basic, but I have seen alot of you talk about 100k coverage. Reason I am asking is I believe my slave cyclinder is giving out. Sitting at a stop with the clutch in, it slowly engages until the truck wants to take off like the clutch pedal is out. I can get the clutch back by pumping it, and sometimes I don't need to.

thanks

Steve

I just found a thread about a South Bend master/ slave kit. How hard is this to put in Called South Bend, closed. Trans have to be dropped? I'll do it if I have to. I don't want to, but I refuse to pay a dealer to do it.

Simple install, I watched mine get replace 2 years ago,, took all of maybe 30 minutes,, just a linkage under the dash on the clutch pedal, the mount for the master cylinder on the firewall, and linder on the transmission, un-bolt it all, and the new one from Dodge (Get it from South bend Clutch, or SBC dealer) it comes with fluid, and bled of all air,, a complete ready to install kit, just pop it on, and you are ready to go.

The Master cylinder is above, and more towards the drivers side refrencing teh brake master cylinder, and the slave cylinder is on the drivers side on the rear side of the bellhousing about 3/4 way up on the transmission.

Hope this Helps,

Thanks!

Awsome Merrick!

Thanks for the info, made my weekend a little better. I'll call on monday and order the kit. I don't like being without my truck. Have a :D weekend.

You might check your owners/warranty book or the dealer. For awhile Dodge offered a 100K mile drive train warranty in 01. Yours might have it. Worth a look or a phone call.
