O. k. , after reading the posts on TDR, I'm going to remove my muffler and straight pipe it. Does anyone know if this affects my warranty in any way? I've heard that taking the cat off voids some part of the warranty, but I'm not sure about the muffler only.
I asked my local dealer about that and was told no warranty issue. They had to call DC to find out though. I had to remove mine to mount an air tank. I had a Megaflow muffler installed just behind the cat.
If you have a good relationship with you dealer you shouldnt have any issuses with waranty except for the waranty of the exhaust its self. When I bought my 03 used it was already straight piped no cat or muf.

The dealer I spoke with said that "DC didn't care what kind of muffler you had on the truck, as lond as there was a muffler".
Personally, I wouldn't think a muffler would matter, that much. But, I would check, real close, just to make sure you aren't compromising your warranty.
