Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) warranty problem??

have a 02 HO w/comp-as a EZ(wire not tapped)putting a set of DD2's in.

has had VP-44 acting up and will be eventually warranted,

I was told they could hardly be noticed powerwise,If I took the comp and boost elbow out before taking it in???? But then again they are assembled in the stock bosch ETH injector housings with correct part #'s.

Is this any concern,or should I just go ahead and put them in and play???

There is a story of a guy loosing his new aftermarket injectors because the dealer mechanic thought the truck was idling funny and replaced the under warranty. Might only be an urban legend.



It all depends on your relationship with your dealer. Do you trust them to only touch what you want fixed?
