Do the RV injectors, which I believe is what everyone are calling 275's, void the warranty if installed by the dealer or yourself?

I can already tell I'm going to love my truck. Gets me really pumped reading all of these posts.

Seems that there is a certain breed of people that love diesls.

Depending on your dealer just about anything CAN void your warranty. It's not legal but they may do it and then you'd have to take them to court to deal with it. TECHNICALLY anything you put on your truck will only void your warranty IF they can prove that the part you put on caused the damage (Magnusson-Moss act) and then will only void your warranty in regards to that damage. That's technically - in actuality many dealers will void your warranty. The 275 injectors and under your valve cover however so they'd have to pull the injectors in order to tell you changed them - not too likely. JMHO

Steve said it pretty plain, but I must also add this to his excellant remarks. Warranties can not be voided by the dealer, mechanic, owner of the dealership. The only people who can void a warranty is the manufacturer... ... ... and it has to be done by letter to boot! It can not be done simply by someone telling you the warranty is voided! This too can be found in the (Magnusson-Moss act).
Don't let the dealer play with you! Tell them to put it in writing! See how they will back down. If they do put it in writting, then they have to prove what you installed, did infact cause the problem that they claim voids the warranty. This too is in the (Magnusson-Moss act) which protects us as consumers.

Where can a person review the Magnason-Moss Act? I have never read it, but have heard people say it isn't worth the paper it's written on for protecting consumers rights.

If the Magnason-Moss Act is effective then why all the concern when adding fueling boxes, injectors, etc? . Why is it we hear of TDR members having their entire engine and/or truck warranty voided when a dealer discovers the fueling box while the truck is in for a steering or brake problem (non-engine related)??? How can an entire engine warranty be voided? I can maybe see denial on a particular part or parts at issue, but voiding an engine warranty when the "entire engine" is not what the warranty claim is over? All this has me confused. Must be a ploy to weasel out of paying for anything period!!

I always refered to it as the "Magnum-Mossberg" act!

Keep in mind my above caveats - some dealers WILL void your entire warranty because of as small a thing as adding a bug deflector to your truck. Not legal but some will do it and then you have to fight back. That's never stopped me from modifying a vehicle however and I've yet to be bitten by it - if they attempted it I'd just fight back like a badger!!

I think you are right, they void the warranty and take the "So what ya going to do about it" attitude. They know very few of us have the financial resources or time to pursue legal action against a big corporation who has endless legal resources and deep pockets. Seems like a $hity deal to me. How can the "little man" with limited financial resources and little time possibly fight back??
