2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Warranty Question

I'm not sure if this is the right spot to post this but here goes anyway... . I'm the second owner of my truck and my truck came from the factory with the 8/80,000 powertrain warranty, I did not buy it from a dodge dealer. The problem is my rear axle seal is leaking and from the literature I've gotten (the dodge warranty brochure) it sounds like it should be covered. Guess my question is any thoughts on it being covered, and more importantly the warranty did transfer to me right? The leaky seal isn't that big of deal but for the $50. 00 I'll let the dealer do it and save me the time. Thanks for any thoughts.

I have purchased two vehicles from private parties which required me to physically transfer the prior owners' extended warranty to my name for a modest fee. Buying it from a non-Dodge dealer may require you to contact Dodge and make sure you're covered, as it probably was not done automatically. These policies are real picky about pre-authorization of work to be performed so settle up with Dodge and cover your interests.
