warranty? what stinkin warranty?

This has probably been explained to death already, but I'm not the fartest smeller on the block. I called my cummins dealer and inquired about a small job that I wondered could be covered under warranty. He explained to me that Dodge buys our engines without warranty. Cummins will not do warranty work on them, you must go to DC for any engine work unless you want to pay out of your own pocket. I thought we had a basic warranty covering things like engine internals (pistons,rods,crank,bearings etc. ). I hate to drive by the DC dealership much less have to go to them for engine rebuilding>

cummins is correct .

the warranty is with DC , yes you can get work done by cummins , but it has to be authorized by DC , good luck with that ...

Call around to the Dodge dealers and talk with the service mgr. Find out if they have diesel techs or if they farm out the work. I found one in Baltimore that sends everything out to the local Cummins shop.



Your best bet if you want Cummins to work on it.
