I read in the news where Warren Buffett is purchasing Forest River.

I believe his investment house announced yesterday they're cutting back and closing some facilities to conserve $$. Maybe others here have more information. .

I don't think so.

I think Buffett's company owns Forest River and just in the last few days announced significant labor reductions at Forest River and other companies owned by his conglomerate.

Warren Buffett has owned Forest River for at least 2 years now... maybe longer. Funny thing is... . My wife works for Geico,another company owned by Buffett,and she said that he wouldn't consider anything Forest River manufactured for his personal RV. Ended up choosing a Newmar pusher a year ago for his travels.

Berkshire Hathaway aka W Buffett

Warren Buffet aka Berkshire hathaway has owned Forest River since they purchased it from Pete Leigal several years ago. Pete founded the company and once it went major BIG, sold out. He was CEO after the sale but who knows now.



I did a considerable amount of research on FR when my 2nd TH ( Sierra F40SPTS)was in the shop 4 out of the first 7 months I owned. I even had Pete's home address and a color photo of him from RV industry magazine. .



But, FR and the Rialto,Ca factory fixed everything and no litigation was needed.



Forest River will be in business for years to come as Buffett has Billions as most RV companies don't.



Rest assured,Forest River makes BIG money from its RV business.
