Bush and Kerry at the Barber shop

That sounds quite a bit like what is going on up here at my house. . In the local mountains, our only water source is our lake, which has been suffering from lack of rain for a few years now. . the water associtation just sent out letters that stated we coudl not wash our trucks in the drive way, due to wasted water, and here is the kicker. . they look at our water consumption from 2002, and if we use above 50% of what we used in 2002, we will be cited. . if we do it a second time, we will be cited and fined 50 bucks. . if we do it a third time, its a citation and 100 bucks. . and the fourth time, they shut off our water altogether  What a bunch of BS... Here's the really great thing. . we've got a country club up here for the "rich folks" You know, the people who have thier 2nd house on the golf course that they paid over a million bucks for... well. . the country club continues to water the greens on the golf course EVERY day... TWICE a day in fact. they insist that the water is not coming from our lake, but I know they do not recyclethier water, and the Lake is the ONLY source of water up here. . what a crock of crap.

hey why dont you just drill a well or truck the water in. That wont cost you much more. Then you can tell them to F off and you dont want their water anymore

The people that dream up these laws don't have enough brains to blow there nose. I work UPS in a small center with less than 100 trucks. The EPA won't allow the trucks to be washed outside anymore it makes it difficult when they are all parked with only 1/2" between them.

Gary: Yeah, in California even chlorinated tap water running out of your front yard hose into a gutter and then a storm drain is technically a violation of Prop 65..... In Irvine, CA, nosy neighbors have been know to phone in "violaters" that wash their own cars in their own driveways... .

so do as the lower socioeconomic group does and wash them on the lawns. . if they scream at ya then file a discrimination suit.

that way you can kill two birds with one stone . . water the lawn and wash the rig. . ok three birds. . and PI** of the tree huggers

what are you implying???????

Back in the mid 70s when we had a really serious drought and could not water the lawns, being a painting contractor by trade, I would just bring home all the dirty brushes and paint sprayers and clean them out on the front lawn (all water-based paints) and I had the best looking front lawn in the neighborhood, as I had to let the water run to flush out all the paint... ... .

OH, yea, I forgot to tell you, I live in the ghetto... .

;)  :D :D

"Quote"

"Water from water runoff from rain spouts will have to be redirected into grassy areas adjacent to residences instead of into the street gutters heading for storm sewers. "

Thats a good one. Water that falls from the sky hits my roof then goes to the gutters is now contaminated, and not allowed to go down the storm drain.
