2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Washer fluid light

Is there something that I am missing ? I refilled my washer fluid but the chime/light still stays on. Is there a "reset" function that I don't know about.

The light will stay on if you filled the tank while the truck was running. It will reset itself when you turn off the truck and restart it.

I don't know what they use to detect the fluid level. I would assume that they use a float. It could be stuck/frozen.

Yes there is a small float near the bottom of the tank.
