Ok, so I am getting this little ding and ligh on my dash saying I need washer fluid, so I go to fill it and find it is over 1/2 full. Ok strange, now the fun part after 2 days of being on solid it goes out when I spray my windows, and then comes back on 1 mile down the road. I didn't put any more fluid in either. So now it is on and off randomly. Any advice on what to check before I go digging for wires and connectors.

Figure easier to post for help then spend 2 hrs tracing down a wire harness.

Thanks...

Can't solve the problem on yours but I had this same problem on my Lincoln Continental. I assume the sensor had corroded or had accumulated crud that triggered the signal. I started to remove it one day but to get at it required so much hassle that I changed my mind. I finally got tired of seeing the message all the time so I put a jumper across the appropriate wires and the signal is now disabled. I figure I know when I need to top off the fluid without the computer telling me!

I had a similar problem except my low washer light wouldn't come on. The last time I had it in for a Re-flash they determined that the switch was bad as it had washer fluid inside of it and apparently its not supposed to. They were ordering a new one but I haven't been back in yet to get it changed out.

I have the same problem. On mine it has to do with the temp outside.

If its cold like below 0 it will come on

then when it warms up outside it will work the way it is supposed to.

I have the same thing on my 2006 Caddy. seems to be intermittent, once I added about 3 OZ of fluid and decided it was a glitch in the switch. The first time I noticed it was right after I added Rainex washer fluid, not sure that had anything to do with it. Seems to be less oftern now, have gone back to regular washer fluid but don't ue it much.
