Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Waste gate adjustment

Getting 40 psi boost with my new #10 plate.

Does turning the adjuster out. Counter clockwise(Making it longer) Lower the boost pressure?

Turned the adjuster rod out one turn,

Still at 40psi boost

Now that I think about it, If there is a spring in the plunger,And if it takes 40psi to move it. Then adjusting the arm will only change how far the exhaust port door opens when 40 psi is reached. Which will let more exhaust gasses out. Correct?

Its a Banks big head wastegate.

Yes, lengthening the rod will allow the waste gate flapper to open sooner and lower overall boost. Adjust more to make a difference.
