My first thought was, "How many ways can we plug up a DPF?"

I doubt it would hurt the engine much but I wouldn't think the emissions crap would like it.

I hope you guys who are removing that stuff have been following the tread from CA where the guy was stopped, fined and towed...

We used to take waste engine oil from the road machinery years ago and drop it in the fuel tank... . those tanks were 75 gal or so and 15 gal of engine oil was not a problem... back than all those engines smoked... today I don't think I'd do it... the engine and the injection system is very sensitive to odd stuff... I'd just as soon not be my own warranty station for a while yet...

We've gone so far as to install a 10 micron gravel filter and water trap as the primary filter and than a 2 micro filter to get the small stuff on all our trucks... we just felt that the tiny factory filter at 4-6 microns wasn't going to do it... .

We check the 10 micron at 20K miles for water... . BTW -each of the 2 filters hold about a qt of fuel... and must have 4-6 times the surface area of the factory filter... and are so easy to get too... and very inexpensive... ...
