In my experiance with my volvo gasser, the adjustable elbows require constant adjustment due to the very poor design, and for the fact the they all have a spring that looses tension. Is it possible to just adjust the wastegate instead?

I have had no problems with my elbow and no need for constant adustment. Mine does not have any springs in it though.

This aint no dang ole volvo... . ;)

On other turbo applications, we have used a small pressure regulator from sears. It is the type that is used on paint guns. This allows you to set the boost pressure where you want it with just a turn of the knob. You can even mount it inside the cab so you can adjust it on the fly if you would like to. The knob locks down when you have the setting where you would like it.

you're probably used to the pressure relief style (Hallman, etc. ) valves...

this is just a simple bleed orifice... should be a set it and forget it deal...

you could use a needle valve for more precision if you wanted, but the old allen set screw elbows work well
