Wastegate diagnosis??

I have an intermittant problem where the wastegate blows open at 2600-2800 rpm, then closes back up. Usually in third gear, unloaded, wide open. It is enough to throw you forward in the seat, very annoying.



Is there something that can be adjusted, is there anything fairly simple that I can check? It doesn't set a code of any type. I am a little lost on how to start tracking down and solving this one. I have never seen it mentioned here before. Any help would be appreciated.

which truck of the 6 are you talking about?

It is the '06 6 speed truck. I never experienced this with any of the auto trucks.
