wastegate issue?

Hello,

First time poster here. Correct me if I'm using poor etiquette.

My issue - I think I am having a wastegate issue. When I get on it i can make about 24 or 25 psi. I've seen up to 27 - 28 but I usually don't push it that hard. However, yesterday I noticed lower boost pressure after a rather spirited go down the highway. Once back in town I can hear a whooshing whistling noise up by the turbo and I can only get about 15 psi as if the wastegate is stuck open.

Has anyone had this problem before? Fixes?

how about some info on your truck...the year would be a good start.

That would help wouldn't it. Thought I had that set up to do that on it's own.

I'm driving a 2001 2500 4x4 auto.
