Wastegate/Smarty question.

I have a POD Smarty with the latest update. Previously when I ran level 9 I could see 35-36 lbs of boost at peak level. I have been running my Smarty on lvl 3 for about 2 weeks, yesterday I loaded lvl 9 and now my boost will hit 29 or so and drop to 25. I have the wastegate turned off in the Smarty settings.



Is my wastegate stuck on the "on" position?

previously with the Smarty I could turn it off or on and it worked great.

any ideas?

Yep, now thw WG control is broke. Get a boost fooler and call it good.



You might be able to get it to enable by reloading a level again but its hit or miss. Either get a boost fooler or WG fooler and boost elbow so that annoying electronic control is no longer, well, annoying. :-laf

Who makes them? I'm guessing a fooler is purely electronic since the WG is?

Quad seems to sell the most. There are a couple others out there. Check one of the popular diesel retailers for choices.

Yes, the boost fooler is just voltage clamp on the MAP sensor. The WG fooler is just a resistor.
