Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) wastegate troubles

well today when i was looking at a few things under the hood of my truck i caught something worng. it seems the piping for my twins is rubbing against the head of the wastegate actuater. and it has been bad enough to bend the bracket it is attached to. could this cause inconsistency? i noticed my egts on the bottm have been a little warm. any suggestions are welcome. here is some pics to try and show the angle of the rod. matt

Only thing I think of is to loosen that cold pipe(?) and see if will rotate down a bit. You probably only need a 1/4 of an inch.
