Stupid people

With all the fuel price jumps going on around the country, I have a bad feeling that VW TDI's and peoples wood piles are going to be prime targets for theives in the coming weeks and months ... especially wood up here in the north.

With one of the coldest and snowiest winters predicted to hit the US (as per the Old Farmers Almanac), and me having about 14 cord of split wood, I'm gonna have to post gaurds around my little "gold" pile. I'll be keeping my M1As loaded and handy this fall and winter.

So ... keep your VW TDI's locked! and in a safe place!

Just a warning.

lovin all your post(s) FatCat Thank you :)

Thanks ... I'm board out of my mind tonight. Since we got rid of TV 9 months ago I have nothing else to do at night.

I'm sure I'll think of somthing else before the night's out ... but its getting late.

I just got my TDI in May when fuel prices were in the low $2. 00 range. It makes me wonder how much I could sell it for today with prices that went up almost 30% in the last three months.

I am too happy with it right now to sell anyway. :D

The truck has averaged 320 miles per week since I bought it. I haven't put more than 100 miles on it in the last two weeks.

Like Hohn said in his post, if you don't like it, do something about it.

Don't get rid of that VW ... it will be a keeper for some time to come. Just keep it locked!

It may burn a little more #2 than a VW, but when the snow hits and I NEED to get to work, I'll just cruise on by.

There is more to transportation than just fuel cost. I'd love a TDI but I gotta get to work no matter what the weather. My truck ensures that.

Best -

Steve
