I want to get some seat covers for my 91 ('94 model 40-20-20 seat) and my girlfriend's 04 Dakota that are dirt and water resistant. I found some that MIGHT work on autoanything.com, but have really found nothing else that is even close. I am looking for something that you can put on easily after horseback riding, working on the pickup, etc, to protect the seat, yet not break the bank. For normal, cleaned up going out to eat riding, probably wont put them on. The farmer I worked for 2 summers ago had one on the driver's side of his farm truck that would be perfect, but I cant find the address of the company he said he got it from. It was something like Shoup's, or Shupe's.

I have Wet Okole covers on my truck. They are a perfect fit, but not a quick on and off deal. One thing to keep in mind is that they are neoprene and don't breath. On long trips they will leave you feeling damp from sitting. They are probably the most dirt and water resistant ones though. I wouldn't put them on again if I had it to do over again.

These look like what you might be after.

Weather Resistant Seat Covers

Urethane coated heavy nylon. They probably wouldn't protect seats if you were soaking wet, but day in day out dirt and moisture from trailriding, they should keep that off the seats. Looks like they come on and take off easily.

Did you come up with anything? I want the same thing. A temporary heavy-duty seat protector. I've used a big towel in the past, but would like something a bit more substantial. <O:p</O:p

I've used the quick on/off water resistant covers like Cabelas sells before. They work really good when new, but the coating on the back of the cover starts to peel off after a year or so. I bought Wet Okoles after that for my 1996 Dodge. On my 2001 Dodge I just got the seat covers from Geno's. Less than half the price of Wet Okoles and although not water proof like the Wet Okoles, I like them better. The Wet Okoles are so thick that I can't put my back seat in the up position because the latches won't catch. If I get caught in the rain, I have some big towels (which I always keep in the truck) to throw on the Geno's seat covers.

Check these guys out.

Great Customer service, they will send you samples of material at no charge and make anything you want. I reccommend the 1000D Cordura, water and dirt proof. No water or dust particles will go through the Cordura and get trapped between the seat and seat cover and get "worked" into your seat They are very tough and a great fit. Comes with great install instructions too.

I also have a set on mt 90 Ford
