I am preplanning the installation of a computer in my conversion to control the intake heater grid, wait to start and water in fuel lamps. The only thing I haven't been able to ascertain by studying my Haynes manual is what computer pin drives the water-in-fuel lamp. Does anyone have a more comprehensive book that shows this?

Thanks,

Danny

Hmm. . lemme ref the service manual... I`ll get back to ya. . (might be a good idea to look for one of those, on cd at worst)

Hey Thanks. I'm not real crazy about relying solely on wire color, but if the WIF sensor signal and the wait to start are the color you say they are, then I may make a leap of faith about the WIF light wire. The Haynes amnual refers to pins on the computer as "A2", "B17", "C9", etc. I assume each of the 3 connectors are given a letter designation, though I haven't figured out which is which yet. Each pin on each connector are numbered from 1 to 29 or so.

Yeah, I guess I need to get a Dodge CD, just hated to when it's doubtful I would use it any after the initial installation. I have a Cummins manual already.

WIF Help

You are correct that the Dodge service manual does refer to the PCM connectors and their pin outs as a letter-number designation. I don't think they remained exactly the same through all the years so you may need the appropriate manual for the specific model year PCM that you have. I have several years but not all. If you need additional pinout information you can post on here and several members will help you decifer the code. Hope this helps. Ken Irwin

well ya didnt say ya wanted pin numbers... i can gecha those. . I usually rely on the colors, cus dodge wouldnt double a color in the same connector. so the info I gave you should be fine. . i`ll check on the actual pin#'s tho.

Hey yeah, pin numbers would be great. I haven't had time to check the wire colors you gave me yet.

Out of my 95 manual, here are some input and output numbers for the PCM:

Device input output

WIF 1 35

IAT 21 n/a

WTS lamp n/a 36

Heater #1 n/a 16

Heater #2 n/a 15
