Competition question regarding central cali pulls

I guess I picked up some bad fuel the other day in Wyoming. I filled up and about 60 miles down the road the ole Dodge sputtered and the water in fuel light came on. I continued on to Denver to my Son's house that day nad it sputter several times during the day. Next day I changed the Filter, drained the bowl with the handle, put in a new filter. Everything seemed OK. Since that time and several tanks of fuel the light keeps coming on and the truck sputters. It does not do it when the cruise is on? Any ideas?

assuming that your problem is water in the fuel, the main thing to do is open the filter drain valve frequently (once a day) or immediately after the WIF light comes on. let a little bit dribble out each time. if you have a glass containter to drain it in, you can see if it is water or fuel coming out.

some may say otherwise, but i wouldn't put a conditioner in that will "absorb" the water into the fuel. there is no way you want water going through the injectors, even if it is mixed with an alcohol or other treatment.

as long as you didnt get a really large load of water, you will eventually get it out.
