The WIF light stays on, so I drained the cannister (had a brain fart and let it drain on ground) and installed a new filter. Went for a short ride and the light stayed on.

I drained the cannister again, this time into a clean jar, no sign of water, and separated the connector and put on some dielectric grease.

The light still stays on, maybe need a new sensor? Any help would be appreciated. The truck is an '02 and just turned 98000 miles.

Thanks

Bill

Have you tried unplugging the sensor at the bottom of the filter canister?. If the light goes out bad sensor, if it stays on you have a short some where either at the plug or wiring.

Drained the cannister a second time, no water. Pulled plug from sensor and applied dielectric grease, plugged back in and all seems ok now.

Thanks

Many times a drop of water will remain on the sensor inside the filter housing. Try to dry it with a soft CLEAN LINT FREE rag or compressed air. good luck

Thanks for all the replies. Took truck to the Dealer as the TPS went "Belly-Up" and they said the WIF sensor was bad. Fortunately it is all covered under warrenty. 98500 miles on truck, so both went out just uner the wire,

Thanks
