Just trying to confirm that the sensor for water in fuel light is within the stock filter assembly. I removed the old liftpump/filter housing when I rebuilt my fuel system. Today we had a real bad snow storm, and the wind was blowing horrible. Twice the fuel in water sensor came on, but mine is unplugged. Im assuming snow blew into the old connector and sent the signal. Just wanting to know if that sounds right. Does anyone know where I can get a blank plug to cap it?

ya its in the stock housing. thats amazing! now the light works! i plan on just cutting the plug off or using diaelectric grease and pack it in the connector hole.

The one on my 92 only works when I wash the engine. :-laf

I have never seen the one on my 05 work. Thats good, right? :)

Never saw the one on my '05 work, but when I put the AirDog FP100 on my '01, the WIF light came on every time I washed the truck. I finally put the stock fuel pump back on for aesthetic reasons and plugged the WIF sensor back in... . no more light.

I have an '06 and have never seen the light come on - even when putting the key in the ignition and all the other idiot lights come on momentarily. Is it supposed to come on at this time to confirm it is working?
