Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Water in fuel sensor FASS

Is there a water in the fuel sensor in the FASS pump system. Lately my water in the fuel warning light has been coming on intermittenly and Ive drained the water sepeator canister and changed the filter to no avail. When I installed the FASS 5 years ago I took off the factory fuel filter assembly. Any Ideas? DWest

If you are only running the Fass and you removed stock filter system. Plug can get wet and turn on light. I filled my plug with silicone

yeah... i call it my rain sensor now... . every time it rains... the light comes on! haha. . for the same reasons above... im just lazy. . and i have a tube of dielectric silicone on my desk! :-laf

Worked!

Fillede the plug end with silicone and went through the car wash the next day and no light. Thanks! DWest
