Truck is 2003 3500 auto Non HO. WIF light came on after fueling. stopped drained bowl. fired up truck went down hwy @ 65mph. Light still on. Performance was ok as long as steady on throttle. Drained bowl agin. Same as before. Repeated this several times to get home.

Got a new fuel filter and installed. Engine cranks fine, pump humms great but wont start. WIF still on. Checked codes and they show 2269 and 0341javascript:smilie('')

ANY HELP APPRECIATED

The 0341 is the Camshaft Position Indicator. 2269, I can't find and I think it's one of the new codes for the 03 and up.

If the WIF sensor is slimed up, you will have to wipe it off to make it work right.

I don't trust my codes for your truck because they changed in 03 with the new generation.

Yes, Alan is right. The 341 code is the camshaft sensor performance code. The 2269 code is for water in fuel condition.

Just a follow up to let you know that Dodge Star center told dealer that they would void warranty on CTD unless the COMPLETE FUEL system was replaced (dealer couldn't get it started after draining tank and replacing filters). Long story short cost= $10,600. Over 1/3 the value of the truck.

Good news: Insurance company paid under comprehensive.

Watch your fuel and be sure your fuel water separator has been checked for the TSB.

The insurance company was not interested in where the fuel was purchased since in would have been a finger pointing because there is no locking cap and anyone could have put in the water!!!!
