I have read on it some and it looks like a good thing. Cools the EGT, adds some power. I am talking about use in a tow rig pulling a mountain. Just as something to knock down the heat a little temporarily, not for continuous use on flat ground.

What are some opinions on it and Snow kits?

Thanks ahead

Snow Performance

I have a kit on my truck now for over 30,000 miles and love it. I have a six gallon water jug in my bed and it goes on at 50% about 15-18psi and full at higher boost . Lowers EGT about 200-250 degrees and a boost in power using winshield mix that has methanol Matt is a great guy.

The temperature reduction that Rick mentioned with the Snow kit is the normal reduction range you will see along with a little extra power.

I am hitting 1500* (the needle on my gauge) at WOT with the comp turned up to max. Would the Snow help in this situation? Does it effect compression ratio or drive pressure?

When the water enters the combustion chamber and is vaporized creating more oxygen to aid in the combustion. Also the water as it vaporizes breaks down carbon and cleans the carbon out of the combustion chamber and off the valves. The alcohol is a fuel and provides a little more power.

Also if you live in cold a cold climate Methanol will keep it from freezing. Acording to Matt from Snow Performance he said that Walmart Winter Blend has the highest level of Metanol. Methanol is also very toxic and can harm you through your skin.

I have the Snow Performance Boost Cooler installed with the 1/2 gallon tank.

It is good for 1/4 mile runs. Or getting a big trailer up a small hill. For towing I am having the guys at Bellflower Transmission in Bellflower, CA install the 8 gallon tank in the bed of the truck. This should be enough to get me and my trailer over the mountains and out to the desert and back. Going about 90 miles each way and an elevation gain from sea level to 4,190 feet over Cajon Pass on I-15. I have the TST power max 3 installed and without the boost cooler I set it on level 3 and have to back out of the throttle once in awhile to keep the EGT's under 1300 deg. F. Using the water/meth injector I have been able to click the TST up to settings 4 or 5 and get more speed before backing out of the throttle.

Water/Methanol Injection

My six gallon tank last about two to three months since I installed the multi stage controller that meter's the injection according to boost. Before without it I would go through six gallons in two hundred miles of highway driving! The Methanol versus water cools more and increase's horse power.
