Thanks, I may put a probe in the radiator. I found one that I can adjust to the temp. that is best for me.Gene, there are several pipe plugs in the cylinder head on the passenger side of the valve cover. They take a 1/2" square drive. That will be the hottest coolant temp area to tap.
Mostly as a back up. I don't want to spend 450 for oem right now and we're heading west for six weeks. Easy to install an electric for just in case.Gene, just a question, why do you want or need to add an additional radiator fan? I just got back from a trip from Wyoming and going through Las Vegas, it was 112* and I was towing our 5th wheel with AC on. Gauge stayed at the middle to just right of the middle when climbing hills.
