Why did this happen? Is this common? I was in a downpour last night when I noticed that my rear window was dripping like crazy!! I looked at it briefly last night but could not see anything unusuall. Anything I should look for, or should I just bring it in to the dealer and hope they don't screw it up worse??

I think this leak is fairly common with all pickup trucks with sliding rear windows (which is exactly why I don't have one). I wouldn't sweat it... the dealer should be able to competently reseal the window pretty easily.

Rear window on my 2003 also had a bad leak in 2 places. Dealer sealed it, no leaks, no sealer can be seen. He did a great job, but I also have a great small town dealer who cares.

You might want to check your seal around your third brake light above the slider. After having the window checked and found nothing wrong then we checked the gasket around the brake light and found it had shrunk and would leak around the light and come in around the rear sliding window. A new 7 dollar gasket from the dealer took care of my problem.

Dallas... :D :D

my rear slider has not leaked one drop yet... the rear glass on my topper though, the sealing of it isn't the greatest  it needs some sticky foam tape along the top edge. .
