WATER LEAK  I have a 01. 5 ram 3/4, and I have a bad water leak. The pads under both sides of the front carpet are totaly saturated. My son just had the windshield replaced last week. We have had a lot of rain, since then. Could the new windshield not be sealed properly, or do I have some other problems. As far as I can tell, the rear area is not wet. I have felt the pads, and I cannot feel any damp areas. The person at the stealer, said that she has had the third stop light leak before, but; that is usually gets the rear area wet, and then runs down the passanger side, to the front. I do have the cab lights, but; I sealed them with silicone, this summer, and have not found any water drops from them. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bob

Well I don't know about this one. My sons 99 had a water leak by the 3rd brake light but it was only getting the headliner a little damp. He took it out and put silicone around it and it stopped. If you have had the windshield replaced I would suspect that if both sides under your front carpet are wet. Go back to whoever replaced the windshield and raise he**

Wet around here isn't it ! The other day 4th street looked like a river!

I'd definately get the windshield seen about. Make them take it back out and reseal it. Who did the install, BTW?

I've done business with Binswanger on College before, really nice people. Very helpful.

Also check the plugs under the cab. If one happened to come out, the spray from the tires will soak the floor (know from experience :( ) Also check the rubber plugs along the firewall. Since you sealed the cab lights, you've eliminated that problem. And the 3rd brake light wouldn't leak enough to soak the entire floor.

If you still can't find it, feel free to drop by the John Deere dealership on Cardinal Dr. and ask for Kris (I'm in the shop). I might could help you track it down.

Good Luck!

water leak  I took the truck back to the shop that installed the new windshield, and tthey did not find anything wrong with it. The only palce that they found any leakage, was where the doors go together. The day before, I done the water thing, letting water flow all over the top, sides, back, and the front. I found the same thing that they did. It appears that the water woould leak in, and run down the door, and then run toward the front, along a plastic wire track to the front of it and then it could be wicked up by the padding.

I took it to the local stealer, and tried to get them to fix it under warenty. However, I'm 4000 mile past the limit. I told them that this was obviously not a new leak, that it had been doing this for some time. It not do any good. They will charge me $70, to strip out the interior, and look for the leak. When they find something, they will let me know what they find, and how much it will cost to fix it.

THE MORAL OF THIS SITUTION IS; IF YOUR TRUCK IS ABOUT TO GO OUT OF WARENTY, GO OVER IT WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB, FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM, AND FRONT TO BACK. MAKE 'EM FIX IT WHILE YOU CAN, CAUSE CHANCES ARE THAT THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ONCE ITS TOO LATE. GOOD LUCK. Bob:mad:

did you do a leak check to see where the leak is coming from?

tape off the vents on the doors. turn on the air and recirc off. shut the doors and use soapy water (in a spray bottle) and spray the seams, etc.....
