First, some basic questions...

For those running Water/Meth, does it work better if EGTs are higher (would think a hotter mix would less likely be put out by the water)? If so, then would it stand to reason that bypassing the intercooler to maintain a higher EGT would allow you to run the water more efficiently?

Here's the setup I am thinking about...

A bypass on the intercooler lines that will send the air straight from the turbo to the intake (like a pre-intercooler motor). This valve would be controlled in such a way that as the EGT's get to a certain point (or based on boost perhaps) the valve changes and the air then flows through the intercooler for further EGT reductions. I would also think it would provide quicker boost buildup since you don't have all that volume to pressurize or the restrictions to push it through.

Have I had too many wobble pops tonight or does this make sense?

My understanding of the water/meth setup is strictly to reduce egt's, so if you bypass the intercooler you would then have to use more water/meth to get the same egt reduction. I know that the big sledpullers do not use an intercooler and route the air from the turbo directly to the intake, as the extreme temperatures do not matter for such a short duration. I see where you are going with the thought process, but I think that it is a lot of work for a minimal outcome.

What got me thinking about the MPG increase potential is what's on Snow's ad about getting a 1-3 MPG more... But you know how marketing is...

If I end up getting their kit I may try a bypass and test without the intercooler at all. That assumes I have some spare time which doesn't seem likely at the moment either. Maybe someone else will chime in with more info!
