Competition Southern Mo truck and tractor pull

Competition Thanks BRYAN @ DPP!

I'm installing Snow's stage III water/meth injection system on my 01 this weekend. Everything is complete except the wiring and the controller installation. I'm having problems in 2 areas. 1) The 30" "temp probe wire" coming off the controller is not long enough to get into the engine compartment to tie into the temp probe wire coming off the probe which is also a little short. Is it okay to add to the temp probe wiring? I've heard that adding wire could affect the accuracy of the reading. 2) Not sure where to mount the controller. If anyone has pics they could post of where they mounted the controller that would be great.

We had to add to the wiring on our truck aswell. I don't know why they don't supply a longer wire. It doesn't seem to affect the accuracy at all. it is always with in 50* of my egt gauge. We mounted the controller on the left side of dash next to the window pillar. It is easy to see and operate right there.

We used the wire that comes in the Dipricol kit. I can't remember if it was standed or solid. I'll have to look at the truck when I get back to the shop.

did the stage three add much power to the common rail??

I don't know but it sure is a lot of work to install one of these puppys! I just finished my last wire tie-in. Took me Saturday, Sunday and a few hours on Monday night to complete the job.

Wow thats forever. I know a few guys at the DTR pulled theres becouse they didnt notice a change and said it was impossible to set with the jet size and all.

Backjack,

It took me a long time to decide where to put the controller and the pump. I read the entire instruction booklet twice before doing anything. I pull out all the parts and make sure every thing I need is there and if not I’ll get it before I do any work on the truck.

I do take my time and try to make it somewhat enjoyable and I'm pretty anal about my installs. All my electrical connections are soldered and I use wire loom on everything for example. That's why I choose to do my installs myself. I want done my way and I want it done right.

Which Snow Performance system did those guys have? I have the state III which is computer montored and will add water/meth based on your boost or boost and egt’s.

Hey Ben maybe we need to start calling Cliff "GRANDPA" or is that "GRANDPA SIR" !!! LOL

No Ben he put it on the truck we just spent a month on to make it run forever, so much for that ?????

OK I am just trying to shame him into taking it off so he doesn't beat me to the top of any hills.

Gary, where heck are ya? Sure is nice here in Pahrump. you need to hook up that truck and trailer and get your tail over here.

yo Cliff . . getting ready to start my move to Coeur d'Alene so thought I'd better put that ~$4. 30 a gallon fuel to use there rather than a bunch O $ down and back to Vegs

say howdy to every one for me and I should be there next year as this damnnnn divorce will be over and settled then, and I will have moved north.

how did the water meth work on the trip there ??

Sorry to hear that your still having to deal with that dude. Divorce after that many years has got to be brutal!!!

The new engine is running awesome!!! Pulled Tehachapi at 62 and never got over 1200 degrees. Engine temp got up to about 200 at the most. Not bad for pulling 23,700 gross combined. Oo. Oo. Oo.
