Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Water meth?

Will water meth clean up smoke? I also need more power. I got beat by a mustan with my 97:{ . I am starting to wonder what I can do without loosing a head gasket. I must be getting close to loosing a gasket. Also would 18 degree timeing help over my 16?

Yes, I believe both the timing advance as well as the water/methanol should clear up some smoke. At least that is what I have read and heard.

but dosent increasing timing increase head pressure which can cause you to lose a head gasket, im no expert though.

Yes, cuz your starting the burn earlier than the previous timing set point.

Injecting meth also has a similar effect as advancing your timing - so you end up with more cylinder pressure.
