Is Heating Oil

4 CYL "Powerstroke" in Brasil

Thought I would add a little spice to the fire. I post under "Cummins24V" on gm-diesel. Now the discussion is at the "5. 9 or 7. 3 or 6. 0, medium duty?" stage of arguing :) If the dieselstop hypocrite cummins-o-phobes won't let me post without getting deleted, why not over at gm-diesel?

Go to www.gm-diesel.com, the to War Zone forum, then to page 7 of

"So, Toyota was all set to buy Ford... "

P. S. -Is the 7. 3L PSD in pickups the same as the T444? And is the 6. 0L PSD in pickups the same as the VT365?

Programming differences aside, yes.

The TDS is a joke. They can't handle ANY real differences in opinion from Cummins owners. Even if the statement is an actual proven FACT, not an opinion. Even with owning a Ford, I've still had quite a few posts deleted, and I didn't start anything with anyone. Only stated FACTS. GM owners don't seem to get their goat much. But having a Cummins seems to remove any credibility at all. I've wondered if a moderator or two isn't getting paid by Ford (under the table?) to shut us up over there.

That is one thing I like much better on this site, and over on the DTR. Alot less :-{} going on. The TDS seems to have their panties in a knot for some reason.

Somewhere I read an article about each diesel engine and it's duty rating (light, medium, heavy), and I am sure I read it here. It was at least a year ago. It was either cut and pasted, or a link to the publication that was written by a govenrment agency (I think)...

Anyhow, that would be the answer to your question, and something fun to jam up their arse over at the GM site.

im a member of tds,and no they wont tolerate any bs on there site, wether you own a ford,gm or dodge. they simply wont let things get out of hand before it gets moderated or even cut,in a way its kinda good, but sometimes its a pita, cause some times i like to argue a point! especially if its a proven fact,i truely dislike someone posting false,or misleading info about any brand. many people will buy, based on what others say, simply cause they dont know any better, sometimes the info is true sometimes its totally false, this is a primary reason, the moderators are so quick to do there job. .

 Im confused about something but i thought sites like the TDR, and the dieselstop and others were places to post stuff where we could discuss it, so basically what is going on is the moderators or whoever isn't even letting pple speak there mind, im not biased at all you like what you like brand wise but if pple are adults and can talk and discuss stuff without profanity then why is it not tolerated, sounds like Hitler is running that show over there.

I mean here for example we have heated discussions between members here on the TDR but the moderators don't right away before even knowing what is going on block it or cut it out, i mean all sites have guidelines but for crying out loud when pple have something to say or discuss why jump on it like its a 6. 0 ready to explode(okay i couldn't resist) sorry.

But then again alot of pple can't simply except the truth, to hard for them to handle.

:-laf

I kind of like the TDS site. If it weren't for reading about all the fuel cackle problems on the 7. 3 powerjokes, I'd have bought one instead of my Cummins.

I don't think I'd have had near as much fun BOMBing a powerjoke.

i've had many posts deleted from TDS, most being very innocent posts too... i always miss spell the 6. 0 slushbox transmission torqueslip and many posts i've had that in have been deleted... that seems to be a sore point to them...

I would say you are trolling over at the dieselstop and thats why you got your posts removed. Your post on the GM site would have been removed if it was on there, you jump mid ship into a topic with the intent of causing an argument.

It's OK there but that war room is very open and I don't think anything gets deleted just closed down.

I agree, a few times I try to get the guys riled up. But most the time I just state facts, like the fact that 6. 0s are a major PITA to work on, and cutting the fan shroud to change the belt, HA! They see it as a put down, when its actually the truth.
