I am starting to see signs of coolant leakage around the weep hole on my 95 (125K miles) Are these thing rebuldable, or do I need to get a new/rebuilt one?

Mine had traces of coolant around the weep hole for 100K miles. Finally had to replace it @230K when it started pouring coolant out of the weep hole. I bought one from Cummins. Pretty pricy at @ $125 but it was the easiest water pump replacement I've EVER done. :D The hardest part was draining and refilling the coolant.

Water Pump Replacement

When reinstalling the new/rebuilt pump, does it fit flush against the block, or is there a very slight gap ?

thx.

Mine went over 50k miles with the weep. Finally changed it when I replaced the belt and chenged the coolant. I bought mine from RockAuto.com and used the "TURODIESEL" discount code for another 5% off. I think it was a delco unit. It came complete with the rubber gasket and fits flush to the block. I don't remember the price but I think it was in the $40. 00 range.

Remove the belt and the two bolts is all it takes. The pump as stated should be flush with the block, no sealant needed.
