Water pumps

I have replaced my water pump on my 03 in Oct. of 09 and now it needs to be replaced again. My question is how much difference is there in the water pumps from the 24 valve to 24 hpcr engines. It turns out that when Replaced the OEM the parts house gave me one for an 24 valve not for the 24 valve hpcr. I am needed to replace tonight as we are leaving mid-day tomorrow for Fort Worth with trailer in tow and all anyone in town has is for the 24 valve. I am going to use it since I have been for the last year but wonderered how much difference there really is.

The one genos garage sells fits from a 98. 5 to an 07 so i think you have the right pump you might have just got a dud
