Water Temp and Oil Pressure Senders

Am getting a Westach dual Temp / Oil Pressure gauge. Unit uses electric senders. Need recommendations on the best places to install the senders - I'll be keeping the factory gauges in service.



Was thinking of putting the WT sender in the plug on top of the thermostat housing next to the line to the heater. Figured that was a good accurate location and then I wouldn't have to futz with the OEM sender since it's in such a hard place to reach.



For the OP sender was thinking of pulling the OEM unit and putting both OEM and Westach units on a Tee off the port on the block.

For oil pressure, why not use the plug on top of the oil filte rhousing? Or are twins in your future?
