Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Water temp sending unit

Those of you who have an aftermarket water temp gauge on your trucks, where did you put the sending unit. Putting gauges in the father in laws 98 12v. Im a 24v guy, and those are a snap for water temp.

You might want to P. M. Bob 4X4 he installs gauges on 24v and 12v all the time. The man is a Guru when it comes to these trucks. I am pretty sure that he would be happy to help you out here. There is an unused port on the right side of the head near the front that can be accsesed easily.

Thanks bob, i was poking my head around yesterday and found one up front i think. It is on the side of the block, right behind the alternator. I think it is 1/2" NPT. Does this sound like the right one to you

Thats the one. Might be 3/8 npt its been a while. Too many 24vs lately.
