With it being hotter then, Well you know is anyone having issue with you water temp? I have twins and mach 5's and yesterday towing a 2,000 lbs trailer my truck was getting very hot. Between 190 and 245 on the gage.

I am wondering if I should change the thermostat and try to clean out the radiator. I did blow about 2 qts of oil on it about a year ago when I lost a head gasket. Can you all think of anything else?

if the oil wasnt cleaned up and if the vapor bottle has been depositing oil on the fan it can sludge up the radiator with oil and dirt and make it not cool properly. or your fan clutch could have let go. did you hear the the fan running while it was getting hot?

I took my fan off and shroud out and pressure washed the radiator from the backside to get ride of the sludge problem and mine ran noticably cooler.

my guess is your fan went out for it to run that hot.
