Attention: TDR Forum Junkies We played in a class E slow pitch softball tourny this weekend and took first place. Cool, huh ? What's really neat is my son plays on the team also and I am at least 20 yr the senior of all but one of the players (I'm 8 yrs his senior). Let's hear it for the old guys!!!!!!!!!!!!The standing joke is that the kids have to have the "old man" back to the retirement home by 5pm so let's speed this thing up.....
The title game came down to the bottom of the 7th with us (visitors) up by one run. 2 outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd, with the "star" of the home team at bat. He hits a liner twixt 2nd and 1rst (opposite field) and the geriatric one makes the catch. Pretty cool if I do say so myself.
We got to order jerseys for our prize with numbers on the back. I chose 55. Not a speed limit but my age !!!
