Giving Up My CDL

Im back!!

We cant believe Gail ate this and got up and walked away from the table.

He didn't get it down in less than an hour so he didn't win the Tee Shirt, my Sister and I bought him one.

We seen it on TV, Louise said Gail you almost eat that at home we should go and give it a try. The TV show was Man vs Food

The challenge is the last item on the breakfast menu in less than an hour.

Down here in the Orlando area there was a Steak restaurant that had a 6 pound steak. Cost around $27 with sides and salad. They had a deal if you could eat the whole meal under a certain time with out it coming back up it would be free.

There is a Place in Texas that I have stopped in for dinner a few times, I never even tried to eat this steak, one of the guys that I worked with ate the thing, looked like a Catchers mitt

I have done my share of Damage to the Shrimp Population a few times at a Seafood place that had a contest, and a Pork Rib Contest also.

The dozen eggs I could do, but adding the other stuff might be an issue with me. There comes a point when you realize that it is just too much!

When you have some free time look up nordiclodge.com. It's an all you can eat buffet in Charlestown R I. Offers seafood, black angus, etc. I ate there once when I was younger, but there's no way I could come close to getting my money's worth now. It's spendy, but where else can you get all the New England lobster you can eat?

I didn't have that much of a problem with the amount really, Im not going to BS ya its a lot of food, where I made out was that the potatoes were Home fries (chunks of Potatoes) if they had been the hash brown style (shredded) I wouldn't have tried it.

Most days at home when ive been working, an average Breakfast is 5 or 6 over easy eggs, 4 slices of bread (Wife makes the bread, Its a lot more dense) Home fries (the 2 potatoes, baked the night before then cut up and fried) 1/2 pound each of Bacon & Sausage, 1 whole Grapefruit when in season or 2 oranges, half to 3/4's of a pot of coffee and a Large glass of Milk.

Just the other night we went to an all you can eat Shrimp place, I thought that the waitress was going to wear out her legs going back and forth, back and forth, Finally the Manager came and asked if I knew about how many more that I was going to eat? I handed him the bread basket and said fill that up twice and that should just about do it!!

Sister-in-law, Penny & I went back the next night for all you can eat Raw Oysters & a few beers, Penny had the all ya can eat Crab & Lobster. I cant stand Lobster anymore When I was in Maine in the Air Farce, they use to sell them out of a Van with a kiddie Pool in the back just outside the Air Base Gate, I ate Lobster so much I cant stand even hearing the word Lobster.

Australia and Bora Bora have Tiger Prawn, when we went diving we would catch a few and bring them back to the Bungalow and put them on the BBQ, Frigging huge Shrimp, 10/15 of these and your just about done for the night.

What do you eat for lunch, dinner and supper?

Fest

Most the time we're kind of busy during the weekdays, Lunch is a cheese/cracker apple, orange type thing that Penny brings when she comes out to make sure that I still have 10 fingers and 5 toes.

Dinner depends on the day's work, I tell her what I would like then she goes from there, not always my choice but often enough. Sunday is Fried Chicken with a Group of people over both Family & Friends during the Spring thru Fall months, everyone brings a side dish, We cap a dozen chickens or so Sweet tea, Lemonade. Same time of the year, if we go into town to raise hell on Friday, Saturday Steak!! We raise Pig, Chicken, Beef. Hunt Elk, Deer and before We left I went to the Reservation with my FIL and got to fill a Buffalo Tag. I don't like Trout and the Ocean is to far away to fish. We do eat Salmon from Costco (its farmed raised) and we don't like that idea very much. One of the Guys that lives near us is fishing off the coast of Mexico now, and due back about the same time we are to get home, so plenty of fresh fish then!!

TONS OF VIGGIES, FRUIT & DAIRY

I cant wait to get home for some REAL MILK!! I have a hard time choking down store bought milk and dairy.

There is a greasy spoon here in seattle called Beth's Cafe. We used to go in there at midnight in the 60's. They have a 12 egg omelette that Ive seen many a soul try to eat. And many have succeeded.

Used to have the Green Burrito here in SoCal and they had a burrito called "Big Ed" a 3lb burrito, and if you ate it within 20min, you won $200.00. It was huge, and I ate many of them, but not in 20min.

I was in the Dallas/FortWorth area on a business trip years ago that had a steak restaurant like this. I ordered the steak, but had to take it back to the hotel room and live on it for 3 days after. God was it massive. Now that Moose Omelette for breakfast and the steak for supper, 3 days meal of good eating, couldn't ask for more.

There's a place here in town called Jack and Grill good Mexican food place (at least the original one is) they have I think it is a five pound burrito that if you eat all they give it to you for free. Darn thing is massive never tried it myself but was there once when they brought one out for someone else we left before he was finished so don't know if he made it or not.

I'm getting old, I went to the Green Burrito yesterday and saw the challenge on a picture frame. My memory sucks!

Here's another example using the 72 oz steaks:

Competitive eater Molly Schuyler is a case study in not judging a book by its cover, as the diminutive mother of four took down the competition and set a new world record by eating three 72-ounce steak dinners, complete with sides, in just 20 minutes.

In addition to the massive pieces of meat, each dinner at the Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo includes a baked potato, a shrimp cocktail, a salad and a roll, and Schuyler finished her first one in just four minutes and 18 seconds, which broke a record she set last year by 40 seconds.

According to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, after finishing her third dinner, Schuyler even started to dig into a fourth, but decided against it as she was "sick of the taste."

When does it get that you can eat yourself to death ?
There has to be a limit of consumption verses life.

That's 216 oz for a 120# (1920 oz) woman.
