There has been mention in this forum about the Cycloid ACS Continuous Tire Pressure System. They're for big rigs right now, but here's what their sales manager responded to my inquiry as to when for the LTs...

"We really appreciate your interest in the Cycloid ACS for automobiles and light trucks. That product has been labeled "AutoPump" and you will hear more about it in the near future.

Currently, we do have some prototype product running on some Chrysler Grand Cherokee Jeep vehicles, and we are still on track for a launch of the AutoPump for the model year 2001 vehicles. As you may know, we have recently announced an arrangement with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Akron, so we remain very optimistic about the success of this new cost-saving and safety product. A copy of this press release is attached for your review.

The project manager of the AutoPump at the Cycloid Company is the President/CEO, Mr. Merv Carse, and he can be reached at Carse@cycloid.com. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of more assistance.

Sincerely,
Ron Hudnell
VP - Marketing & Sales"

I'll post any further info I come up with. You can look at 'em at www.cycloid.com.

I posted on these a while back and also talked to Cycloid. I saw these on a truck while I was at Cummins and thought this was a pretty good idea. They told me they didn't have a price for the auto market yet and looking at the truck market price I would bet that they are not cheap. There's a gauge that to my understanding will fit on the dually called Cat's eye and will give you the pressure for both tires. But it does not keep pressure in the tires like Cycloid.
Keep us informed on what ya find out.

Steve
