A little carnage!

"off road fuel" posts beg the question...hmmm

and guess what it has for power? We knew it was a 4 cylinder diesel, and assumed it was the Yale badged mazda engine we got a few years ago on the last buy. Being the gearheads we are, we decided to lift the engine cover/ seat, and there it was, a cataperk (new perkins)? my friend said. I looked at the injector side of the head, and it looked familiar but just not right. Then we found a plate on top of the valve cover and there it was- the big C! I assume it's the 4 cyl ISB. It has the rear geartrain but it's not common rail, it has a distributor pump and the lines going into the head look the same as with the Ram engine, just no rail. It's a good runner, nice and LOUD! :)

Probably a 4. 3 with the new style VE. We've had them in the skidsteers and backhoes for a while.
