BIG problem here. This morning at 630 am, my wife came out to the truck and started knocking on it to wake me up. Well, my first thought was here comes breakfast, so I unlocked the door and let her in. Nope, no breakfast. She starts in on me telling me that "WE" have a problem and its to be addressed now! I turned down the cassette that I recorded of the CTD idling and said tell me about it. Well, she says it isn't natural for a full grown sane man to come home after work and sit by the exhaust pipe of a truck while its running, smelling the fumes and listening to the noise. She says I have this stupid grin on my face and it will cause brain damage. And now that I've practically moved into it, she says we have a major problem. She said Pizza Hut called and they will not deliver to an address that says dark blue Dodge truck with a bumper sticker that says OH,BABY!!YOU KNOW WHAT I LIKE!!! And cablevision also called and said they don't make a quick disconnect so I can wire in cable. (I called and gave them a piece of my mind for calling the home number instead of the cell). It went on and on, I don't really remember the rest because my mind drifted to comp boxes, transmission mods, cool emblems, etc. I dutifully say uh-huh every couple of seconds to keep her happy. SO she ends the conversation with the old, its gonna come down to me or the truck, you might have to make that decision if we don't work out this problem. My first thought was the old come back, "Sweetheart, I'll sure miss you. " but as she was sitting in the truck, common sense and immediate concerns for my personal safety kept my mouth shut. So, at that, she got out, shut the door, a bit too hard in my opinion, which made me mad. So, I thought I'll show her! I got out, went around opened the door and mini vacced out the little dirt particles her shoes dragged in and wiped her finger smudges off the door handle. So there!! I got back in the truck, pushed in the 2nd tape of the CTD where I'm constantly revving it up, but I began to think about what she had said, and it dawned on me she was absolutely and 100% right, we do have a problem. That is why I am airing this out to you guys. You've been in the TDR longer than me. If your wife had the problems my wife is having, how do I help her? I adapted very quickly to the TDR way of life but she is resisting. Psychologist? Psychiatrist? Can I get her some kind of self help on the internet? She is obviously struggling to cope and adapt to the TDR lifestyle and I want to help her as much as possible. Please help me before I lose her! Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. .

Thanks for the help. .

I don't really have any advice. I do have a question though:

Just how attached to your wife are you?

Might consider trading her in. :D

Just kidding!!

subliminal tapes

Have you tried our series of subliminal spousal help tapes?

2. "Am I missing here?" (Training the ear for Listening to even valve timing, and fuel dispersal rates)

Can you really afford a 2nd dodge cummins. ??

I am a big fan of heavy medication. "No, sweetie, that's NOT a new 2003 dually-- I you sure you're feeling OK? Red? NO, baby, the truck has ALWAYS been Patriot Blue... "

I'd say you have a good case of bombitus, which has no known cure my friend. My suggestion may be way out in left field, but what I have done is let the wife drive the truck for a week or so. At the end of the week when she went back to driving her econo car, she exclaimed that when it was time to trade off her car, she wants to take over the truck and that I have to go get my own. Well I told her that it'll likely be another CTD and she said she hoped so! I sure do love that woman! I do want to remind you that results may vary and that week or so you are w/o your truck can be detramental to your disease. Withdrawl simptoms will occur. Good luck. ;)

well, uuhh...

She thinks its not necessary for her to have to memorize the parts numbers for all the flters and fuel pumps. I think it is, in case of an emergency somewhere. I can't be expected to remember all that. I am always reminding her, "Hey, it's my job to drive. " It's not good so far.
